The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom is the subject of immense speculation. It is now being revealed that prices may touch $500 for the 128 GB version. The smartphone has already been unveiled at CES 2017.
The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom is only known to have a dual camera setup. This is expected to offer 2.3x magnification attributes. Thereafter, it will switch gears into digital zoom mode as expected.
The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom gets its dual camera setup resembling the iPhone 7 Plus to some extent. The company has discarded all components from the original Zenfone Zoom. GSM Arena reports that few details of the smartphone are available.
Details That Are Now Available
The company has not shared information on the features and specifications at CES 2017. Pricing details are also not available officially. However, Asus has now revealed some more information on the device at the Pegasus 3S launch at Taiwan.
The smartphone will be available from next month onwards as per reports. In the Chinese market, the top end 128 GB model is expected to come at CNY 3, 699 because of recent developments. This equates to almost €504 or $533 as per estimates.
However, the prices of the 64 GB and 32 GB models are still major mysteries. This is something most people are waiting for. Prices are always a little higher in European and North American markets.
Chinese markets usually have lower prices for smartphones. As a result, the smartphone could be priced well over $500 because of this market trend. Asus will reveal other details including pricing when the phone is officially launched.
Features & Specs
As per Gadgets 360, the smartphone is being billed as the “lightest” and “thinnest” smartphone. The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom gets a 500 mAh battery and is 7.9 mm thick. The smartphone also gets a 5.5 inch AMOLED HD display unit which should ensure greater clarity.
The phone weighs 170 grams and also gets Corning Gorilla Glass on top. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor used. The top end model will have 4 GB of RAM as expected.
Apart from twin 12 megapixel rear cameras, the smartphone will double up as a power bank. There will be a 13 megapixel front camera with the Sony IMX214 sensor. There will also be the TriTech+ autofocus system available for the device.
