[Watch] Official Nintendo Switch Specs Preview Video Leaked Before Launch

Uh oh! Looks like a retailer accidentally sent out a Nintendo Switch specs trailer before its official launch. Check out the details here.

Nintendo Switch Specs

A NeoGAF user called hiphoptherobot posted a photo of the Nintendo Switch in the subforum. The user mentioned that he got the system earlier because a retailer received the Switch a tad too early. To show proof that he did have it, the user posted a video demonstrating how to setup the Switch. This includes how to configure the settings. So far, this is the most comprehensive of all the previews that were leaked in the past.

The video can be seen below. There is a possibility that game giant Nintendo will request to have it removed. However, it is still online today.

Choose Own Icon

Wondering how to create a user in the system? The footage shows how to do it, especially on how to create a name and choose an icon in the Switch. Players can choose from official Nintendo characters like Bowser, or game items such as Link’s Master Sword.

Themes, Nintendo eShop, Other Settings

Players can choose from a small variety of pre-stored themes, which are the Basic White and Basic Black. The video also shows the apps seen in other previews of the Switch.

The News icon takes users to a page that details some of the aspects of the entertainment system.  This includes the Albums page where players can find screenshots of their games, a Controllers tab that can be used to tweak the new Joy-Cons, and a system configuration section where they can peek through the battery life.

The Basic White and Basic Black themes are found in the console’s last tab. Users can also visit the options to configure the sleep mode, Amiibo options, and special settings. Hiphoptherobot was very happy with his find. He shared, “It isn’t like I grabbed it off the back of a truck or anything, I just happened to get lucky because unnamed store decided to ship early for whatever reason.”

What Is Known About the Nintendo Switch So Far

As of today, it has been seen that the system is packed with 25.9 GB of free space. If users want to expand it, they can by getting a microSDXC card with 2 TB in space.

The Switch officially launches globally on March 3, 2017, and will be sold for $300. Stay tuned to Video Games Republic to catch the latest on video games, tech, and more.
