CES 2017 is expected to be a firecracker of sorts. The Consumer Electronics Show will be held between the 5th and 8th of January 2017. 5G technology is expected to be a major focus point of this eagerly anticipated event.

CES 2017 will be focusing majorly on 5G technologies and their integration into mainstream applications as per sources. The Las Vegas event has already had a preview where several attractions have emerged. Some of these include driverless car technologies, Internet of Things (IoT) and virtual reality.

More Updates on 5G Technology

5G may even be faster than currently imagined. Whole movies could be downloaded in the time taken to finish single episodes of television shows. However, 5G technology may be officially unavailable for a few years down the line.

However, there should be considerable excitement hovering around the same at the show. Verizon Wireless is expected to announce the debut of its 5G network. These rumors have percolated since Verizon has already announced that it is testing 5G for a single customer. AT&T is also expected to discuss 5G technology at the show.

Other Updates on the Show

The Qualcomm CEO Steve Mollenkopf may also mention 5G in his keynote speech. Even Ericsson may talk about 5G since they are planning for several demonstrations as well. The industry, however, is far away from mainstream implementation of this technology.

5G technology will come into focus with regard to its viability for fixed mobile broadband connections. 5G wireless technology will be a major innovation and CES will be a good platform to hear more on the same.

Technowize has also confirmed that 5G technology will indeed hog the limelight at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show.
