Danganronpa V3 Release Date & News: PS4 Share Disabled After Chapter One

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is a visual novel game developed by Spike Chunsoft. It is the third title in the Danganronpa series which is a sequel to the whole game. Spike Chunsoft will release the game this year. But news says that the PS4’s share feature for the game will not function for the second chapter and onwards.

Why Won’t There Be A PS4 Share Feature?

The reason why Spike Chunsoft disabled the PS4 share feature is because they do not want any spoilers in the game. They will only let players share Danganronpa V3 until its first chapter on PS4. They want to proceed on a precaution of avoiding spoilers surfacing online.

In the game website, according to the kids of Monokuma (the series mascot), known as the Monokuma Cubs, that “In order to prevent spoilers for Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, we are asking for self-restraint in the release of gameplay videos and live streams from Chapter 2 onward.” They also add that “For the same reason, PlayStation 4’s share feature cannot be used with save data that has entered Chapter 2 or later even once, even if it’s between the Prologue and Chapter 1.”

The Monokuma Cubs also asked for the fans’ understanding and cooperation so that more customers may enjoy the game.

Release Date and Available Demo

Spike Chunsoft will release Danganronpa V3 in Japan on January 12 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. NIS America will publish the game in North America and Europe this 2017 as well.

A downloadable demo is presently available in the Japanese PlayStation store. This features old Danganronpa game characters in the likes of Makoto Naegi, Yasuhiro Hagakure, and Hajime Hinata as special game guests. The feature also introduces gamers to the “Panic Debate” and “Brain Drive” elements.

We encourage players to keep the save data from the demo to be able to continue to play it in the full release. Moreover, if players utilize the save data to activate Spike Chunsoft’s installed additional bonuses. These include Monokuma Medals and “Skills”. This can help in accomplishing the class trials.
