Death Stranding Cast May Include Metal Gear’s Stefanie Joosten

There might be another addition to the Death Stranding cast. Aside from Norman Reedus, Stefanie Joosten from Metal Gear Solid 5 is rumored to be included in the roster.

Stefanie Joosten On Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

Stefanie Joosten recently played the role of one of the most popular characters in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Now, she is rumored to be back as part of Death Stranding cast.

Joosten provided the voice and her likeness to Quiet. Quiet has supernatural abilities and assists Snake on missions. Furthermore, Joosten provided the vocals for Quiet’s Theme, one of the songs in the franchise. The soundtrack later on won the award at the Game Awards for Best Score/Soundtrack.

Joosten has always been obsessed with Japanese video games. First, she became a fan of Pokemon games when she was still young. Her stint in working with Japanese video games started when she found an ad for a casting call for an undisclosed video game by Hideo Kojima.

Due to her love for games, she recognized the name and auditioned for the part. Soon, she bagged the part and became visual and voice model for Quiet’s character.

Joosten On Death Stranding

In a video uploaded by Yongjea, it was hinted than Joosten and Kojima might be working together for the studio’s new game. This possibility is connected with Joosten’s recent visit to Guerilla Games’ studio.

Furthermore, Guerilla Games and Kojima Productions are currently doing a collaboration for Death Stranding. With Joosten’s visit to the studio, everything points to the possibility that she is indeed going to be one of the characters in the game.

Other Characters In Death Stranding

Kojima enlisted big stars in the development of his studio’s flagship game. Norman Reedus and Guillermo del Toro will lend their voice and likeness to the game. Reedus and Del Toro used to work with the developer for the defunct game Silent Hills, a sequel of the Silent Hill franchise. However, production of the game was cancelled due to rumored conflicts with Kojima and his former employer, Konami.

Death Stranding will be available for PlayStation 4. Stay tuned to Video Games Republic to catch the latest on video games, tech, and more.
