Hideo Kojima had just posted on his official Twitter account that he had a meeting with key members from Sony Interactive Entertainment America (SIEA) on March 23, 2017. Kojima did not mention what he and members of SEIA talked about, but fans think it involves Death Stranding appearing at the upcoming E3 2017.
E3 2017 will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 13, 2017 until June 15, 2017. Kojima Productions announced Death Stranding with a trailer last E3 2016 also with Sony.
The first Death Stranding trailer revealed a naked Norman Reedus, the main character, picking up a baby at a beach. Kojima then released a world premiere of the game during The Game Awards 2016 which revealed Mads Mikkelsen as the main antagonist.
Kojima Productions would most likely make an appearance with Sony in E3 2017 since the two became partners after Kojima’s fallout with Konami. Furthermore, Sony will be the publisher of the upcoming game for the PlayStation 4.
Kojima has not yet revealed the official release date of the game, so he might reveal it at E3 2017. The popular Metal Gear series creator seems to regularly tease his fans by posting random stuff on his Twitter account.
Emma Stone Might be in the Game [Rumor]
One recent Tweet that Kojima posted included a photo of a La La Land vinyl together with some light bulbs. Fans interpreted this as a way of him teasing an idea to involve a La La Land actor or actress within the game.
Kojima said on previous interviews that featuring Hollywood stars in titles could be the future of games. That is why fans over at Twitter believe Emma Stone might join the cast as the leading lady in the game.
Aside from Norman Reedus, who is known from the popular The Walking Dead series, Mads Mikkelsen, who appeared in Doctor Strange and Rogue One, will also join the cast of the game. He will play as the main antagonist to Reedus in the game.
Kojima was originally working on a new Silent Hill game with Konami, but it was cancelled after he departed from the studio. Movie director Guillermo Del Toro also had involvement at that time, but he stepped out of the world of video games after their Silent Hill game got cancelled.
Although Kojima Productions did not yet mention who else would appear in the game , fans speculate that Stefanie Joosten might work with Kojima again. Joosten previously played the role of Quiet in one of Kojima’s game, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. She recently posted about a visit to Guerilla Games, which is Sony’s first-party studio that gave Kojima full access to their game engine, Decima.
