Diablo 3 2.5.0 Update Goes Live: Full Patch Notes Here

The Diablo 3 2.5.0 update goes live today, bringing in a slew of patch notes upon its availability. The major update applies across all of the game’s platforms–PC, Xbox One, and PS4–thus making the game’s latest update applicable and accessible for all players. The new patch notes reveal a plethora of changes, as well as new features, to go along with the new patch.

Diablo 3 2.5.0 Update: Here’s What’s New

A new item has been made available for fans of the series: enter the Primal Ancients, rare items that can grant perfect Ancient-level capabilities on their respective affixes. Primal Ancients can be found only after players have reached Greater Rift 70 solo on their account.

The previously announced Armory feature is also included in the latest update. The feature provides players with the ability to swap between skills, gems, runes, and gear between different builds of their characters. Moreover, crafting materials have also been moved to their own area, thus no longer taking up inventory space.

The latest patch also affects Adventure Mode, particularly with the Greater Rifts. With the new update, particular tilesets will now appear less in Greater Rifts. Difficulty level access will be affected as well, as such will be dictated by a player’s highest solo Greater Rift completion. Furthermore, players can play any Act now, as Bonus Acts have now ceased to be a thing. Despite being able to play any Act, players will still be rewarded with the same benefits they would acquire for completing a Bonus Act previously.

Diablo 3 Seasons For Xbox One And PS4

The bonuses don’t stop with the Diablo 3 2.5.0 update, as Diablo 3 Seasons will now be available on console platforms. Previously, Seasons–optional, recurring game modes–were only available for PC players. Come March 31, Seasons will now be available for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
