The Diablo 3 Necromancer class is back, latest patch to feature a lot from the first game.
“You were expecting Dream Warriors, but it was me, Diablo 3!”
Pardon me for referencing a certain meme for the opening, I couldn’t resist to pass it up.
To start with the not so good news: Blizzard appears to be exuding hints about the existence of Diablo 4 in the making. However, during BlizzCon, a Diablo 3 Necromancer patch was revealed instead.
The latest Diablo 3 Necromancer patch isn’t something to be disappointed about. Fans of the first game would definitely love this patch. Instead of just the typical boring bugs patch, this update would feature dungeons and maps from the first game, as confirmed by GameNGuide. The old BGM’s are probably in the pack.
Dungeons and maps would definitely mean items and monsters from the first game as well. A re-skin for Leoric, the Butcher, and Diablo itself is highly plausible.
The Diablo 3 Necromancer patch is the most nostalgic thing Blizzard has ever done for the game.
Fans of the second game should also rejoice, as the return of fan favorite Necromancer! A lot appears to be disappointed for the lack Diablo 3 Necromancer in its initial release. The Witch Doctor just doesn’t live up to the Necromancer class.
The Diablo 3 Necromancer would most likely feature a new artwork, and a combination of old and new skills. Expect new kinds of Golems, more poison and bone spells, more types of dead monsters to raise, and the return of the infamous corpse explosion!
However, it appears that the new Necromancer would also focus on blood magic this time, assuming it doesn’t replace poison or bone spells.
Diablo 4 might have been delayed for the time being. But the Diablo 3 Necromancer latest patch is something to be enthusiastic about, especially for those who had been playing the game since the first one. Too bad old Deckard isn’t around anymore to identify your stuff.
