Dirt Rally PS4 will be introducing a new co-op multiplayer and PlayStation VR support. This new downloadable content (DLC) from Codemasters is good news for Dirty Rally players. But like any news, there is always another side of the story.
Dirt Rally PS4 Co-Op Mode & VR Support
According to Codemasters, the update provides “a fully immersive off-road experience.” Unlike other VR racing games, the VR mode of Rally supports every route, discipline, and cars in the game. Aside from that, a “Co-Driver Mode” is also added in the game.
The new Co-op mode will feature a second screen mode. This will allow a second player to join. The second player can provide pace note calls to the driver using the buttons and touchpad.
Doing this is just like having a rally race with a co-driver. Codemasters said that the “timing and accuracy are vital in order for you to complete the stage in the best time possible.” Apparently, it would be a very exciting ride.
“The update will immerse players into the world of rally like never before as they take on some of the most challenging rally stages in the world, as well as multi-car racing at three locations in the FIA World Rallycross Championship,” said Paul Coleman, Chief Games Designer of Dirt Rally, according to Daily Star.
Dirt Rally PS4 DLC Price
But like what we said, there is another side of the story. While many are rejoicing that there is a new update of the game, of course, it comes with a price. The update will cost £9.99 or $13 from the PlayStation Store, GameSpot reported.
The game will be released weeks from now. Aside from that, Codemasters is also offering a new physical version of the game which packages the game together with new DLC. But the price for that version is not yet revealed.
