Dishonored 2 is an action-adventure game by Arkane Studios. The game is available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms. The game occurs in the Empire of the Isles. Players can choose to play between Empress Emily Kaldwin or her father Corvo Attano, the Royal Protector, in reclaiming the throne to the empire. This Dishonored 2 guide will help players distinguish between these two characters.
Emily and Corvo exhibit differences in their supernatural abilities. They also have different tactics and approaches on similar missions. Here’s a Dishonored 2 guide to help you maximize these two characters’ abilities as desired:
According also to a Dishonored 2 guide laid down by Polygon, Emily is the more subversive and nuanced character. The Empress has abilities that reflect a more complex style than her father, Corvo. She has the powers of Far Reach, Domino, Doppelganger, Shadow Walk and Mesmerize.
Far Reach is not as stealthy as Corvo’s Blink. This is where Emily runs or jumps to go further in a particular area. Domino, on the other hand, is a power used with priced weapons and ammo. With four Runes, players can link two targets together so that they can share the pain of one another. Three Runes can affect three targets and six Runes affect four targets. Players may cast Domino on a whole room where no one will get suspicious. This can be used with Shadow Kill so enemies turn to ash. Buy Domino if Emily has the Doppelganger skill. One kill with the Domino will kill all enemies in a room and the Doppelganger can still kill the rest.
Doppelganger must be the first ability a player must buy for Emily. Creating a Doppelganger does not alarm anyone unless the original is seen. This can also be used to reset enemy positions. Buy this for four Runes because this skill is highly versatile. It can distract enemies, help Emily sneak in and offers Deadly Shade and Baffling Shade upgrades which cause confusion to enemies. Shadow Walk lets Emily become less visible. Mesmerize is a charm spell and can be used in charming two guards at its basic level. However, this power is limited.
Corvo has a more aggressive style than Emily. He is also easier to use than Emily. His powers include Blink, Possession, Bend Time, Windblast and Devouring Swarm.
