The Elder Scrolls Online is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game by ZeniMax Online Studio. Bethesda Softworks published the game for Microsoft Windows and OS X originally on April 4, 2014. It was in June 2015 that the game was made available for PS4 and Xbox One.
Bethesda Softworks continues to update The Elder Scrolls Online with new downloadable content (DLC). They announced a new DLC for this year called Homestead. It will be playable on PS4 and Xbox One this coming February 21. However, the content is already available for free for everyone.
In The Elder Scrolls Online, the gameplay will be a mixture of quests, random events and free world exploration in Tamriel. The player will also be able to play as ten different races and choose from four different human varieties. Each class gives the player a variety of attacks, spells, skills and passive effects. The game does not prioritize single-player modes so there is no such mode offline. But Bethesda Softworks stated that there will be plenty of content to accommodate single players. Players can also buy homes and decorate them.
The new DLC features “Tons of Homes” and “Not Your Friend’s House.” The former is a homestead which offers different home options. They are styled and decorated after the game’s ten playable races. A player who wants a Tamriel dig may get one for free via an initial tutorial quest. Once completed, players can now move on to owning various homes of different sizes. These houses can be shared to other in-game characters.
The latter, called Not Your Friend’s House, is a portion in the DLC where players can decorate their own home. They can do this by getting and placing more than 2,000 items with the game’s new Housing Editor. Furniture and other decor are also available from in-game vendors, as well as in the Crown Store.
Players are also given another option. They can craft and make their own decorations via the crafting skills of their character. Home decorations include tables, chairs, chests, beds, bars, counters and decorating items like books, food, barrels, paintings, light fixtures, plants, trees, and more.
The new DLC version also features Master Crafting Writs, and four new Motifs with new itemization in Cyrodiil and the Imperial City. Players can also set restrictions for who can enter their residence. Overall, there are 39 homes a player can choose from such as Inn Rooms, Apartments, Small Homes, Medium Homes, Large Homes, and Manors.
