The Elder Scrolls Online now gets a new expansion. This expansion is officially confirmed as per Bethesda Softworks’ statement. The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind DLC is now available for players.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is going to add the Vvardenfell Island into the game. This will allow players to get a taste of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind in terms of the famous setting. Zenimax Online Studios and Bethesda have already released an official statement to this effect.
As per Kotaku, this latest DLC will enable players to continue their missions in special Morrowind locations. Players could earlier travel to a few parts of this continent. However, they were always unable to quest in the Vvardenfell Island itself.
More on the Game Setting
The game setting takes players quite a few centuries prior to Morrowind. Players can now traverse the entire setting at its very peak. New players can purchase this DLC and the original game together.
This combo pack is priced at around $59.99. For those who already possess the Tamriel Unleashed version, this can be added for $39.99. The official release is slated for the 6th of June, 2017.
Some storylines and locations were added previously via downloadable content. The Orsinium Orc city came into the picture in 2015. Additionally, 2016 witnessed the influx of the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild.
The Warden will now make use of earth-based magic for fighting. There will also be a terrifying yet sweet bear accompanying him. This new setting is billed to be the best ever for the game.
Polygon confirms this update and developer Zenimax Online Studios states that the new update exceeds 30 gameplay hours. This is the biggest geographic zone addition since the year 2014 when it launched. Players can easily start their games and switch directly into the expansion of the island of Vvardenfell in Morrowind.
There is no legacy content completion issue in this case. This is due to the swift gameplay revision that took place earlier. The update launches together for Mac and Windows PC on the 6th of June.
It also launches for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the same date. According to Zenimax’s official statement, all key interest points from Elder Scrolls 3 are available in this DLC. These include the Seyda Neen docks, the forests filled with mushrooms, and even the volcanic Ashlands.
What Can Also Be Expected
Vivec City still remains intact in its former glory according to the developer. However, it remains under construction in this time zone. No official confirmation is available on the voice artists to take over the Ordinators’ roles.
More to expect from the game includes a Digital Collector’s Edition for $79.99, which also gets a novel War Bear and exclusive Dwemer pet and horse armor. You can also get a physical Collector’s Edition which comes with a companion book, Dwemer Colossus Statue and Morrowind map.
There are several perks for pre-ordering on offer as well. These include a temporary 50% boost for your gained experience!
