ZeniMax Online Studios has gotten “a great, great year” for The Elder Scrolls Online. This is a multiplayer online role-playing game with quests, random events, and open-ended exploration.
Game Director Matt Firor said that they have accomplished building on the success of the console launch of the game back in 2015 through the introduction of content and improvements on the system. Millions of players have been familiarized and engaged in the game throughout 2016. They indeed had a huge success this year. He himself expects the new year to be even more successful for the game. He has high hopes that this will lead them to many more years of success and growth.
The game would not be successful without its fans, according to Firor. He expressed appreciation and gratefulness over the fans’ contributions for playing the game, live streaming, leading guilds, giving the game feedback and sharing it to friends.
What to Expect in 2017
Since The Elder Scrolls Online got really good feedback in 2016, Zenimax Online Studios, as represented by Matt Firor, promise greater and even better content for 2017. The company will be banking on this previous year’s success. Firor teased that the company will be introducing “amazing new things” for the game.
“We’ll talk a lot more about the amazing new things that are coming to ESO as early as we can in the new year,” Firor added.
In addition, the recently announced Homestead expansion on the game will be having player houses all across the land of Tamriel on February early next year. This will be giving the players the ability to craft and sell furniture. Firor hinted that this shall be expected on the Public Test Realm (PTR) very early in the new year.
Matt Firor promised that they will be working on the game as long as there are people who want to play it. But fans will have to patiently wait for the new enhancements that will be embedded in the game for next year’s release.
The Elder Scrolls Online is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
