Another source said that “Camila has been a pioneer and has really gone out there and had some great collaborations. We knew it was only a matter of time.”
A third source mentioned that there is no bad blood between Cabello and her former bandmates Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui. The source said “that was never their issue because they all have solo projects in the works… The girls will be making huge announcements for the group and their solo endeavors in January.”
Camila Cabello in Shock?
According to People, months before the breakup, Cabello abruptly left a St. Louis, Missouri concert mid-set due to anxiety. Before the performance, she took to Twitter to share her exhaustion saying that she “just wanna sleep for 3 days.”
After the incident, she wrote in a Snapchat, “Hi Missouri, sorry I couldn’t finish the set last night… Was having too much anxiety and couldn’t finish it … I love u. I’m truly sorry.”
On Monday afternoon, Cabello shared on Twitter and Instagram that she was shocked because the group’s account announced her exit without her awareness. “Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that I was ‘leaving the group’ is simply not true… Just like the other girls said in their statement about their plans, I had also planned to continue with my own solo endeavors in the New Year, but I did not intend to end things with Fifth Harmony this way,” said Cabello.
It appears that Cabello was frustrated with her girl group because she apparently has not made a formal decision yet. But she expressed her support for her former group and wished “nothing but the best for them, all the success in the world and true happiness.”
Last 2015 and up until present, Cabello has been releasing song collaborations with other artists. These include work with rumored love interest Shawn Mendes in I Know What You Did Last Summer and with rapper Machine Gun Kelly in the song Bad Things.
Nevertheless, Cabello announced in the social media post that she will be working on her own music next year.
