Final Fantasy 15 is a game in the Final Fantasy franchise which features an entirely new set of characters. These characters go on a new and exciting quest. The game surely entertains old time fans and new gamers. Although the game offers fresh content and anticipation, it is still not perfect.
To continue on with providing for new Final Fantasy 15 content, game developer and publisher Square Enix continually releases downloadable content (DLC). And despite fans asserting that they are not comfortable, let alone happy with a DLC model, Hajime Tabata – who works for Square Enix and heads the maintenance of the franchise’s releases and content – affirmed that the DLCs will be pursued. He also assured that there is no need for uncertainty.
Tabata Responds To Uncertainty From Fans
Tabata claims that the DLCs are here to stay. The director confirmed that Square Enix will continue to update the game using future single player downloadable episodes. Tabata had an interview with US Gamer, which has already been taken down but was referenced in Gaming Bolt. He said that, “The reason it sparked debate was probably because we announced that we will continue to update a single-player game.”
The Final Fantasy 15 director added that “this model has not been fully established yet. The fans who have grown accustomed to playing traditional Final Fantasy games may feel uneasy about this unfamiliar initiative.”
Moreover, Tabata said that he believes in the approach to updating single-player games. He said that what he and his Square Enix team is doing with the game’s present title will be done in the future with further Final Fantasy games. He said that this will come as a “new trend”.
DLC Updates To Introduce New Locations
In addition, the DLC updates may possibly bring in more locations to the game’s world. There were plenty of areas in the map that were inaccessible. YouTube user Migl Siki has discovered an unexplored area through certain glitches in the Cartanica train station. The developers may use this area in the future DLCs. Another YouTube user named Fotm Hero also found unexplored areas using certain glitches in Tenebrae, Pagla and more as again reported in another news article by Gaming Bolt.
Hajime Tabata promised that the DLCs will “change the game’s foundation.” Tabata claimed that they will evolve the game more. He explained in an interview with Famitsu as translated by DualShockers that this is in “preparation for new initiatives.”
