Final Fantasy 15 Update To Allow New ‘Self-Shooting Function’

Gamers can now snag Prompto’s hobby. The upcoming Final Fantasy 15 update lets players meticulously compose their own snaps in the game. Take a look at the details of the upcoming patch.

Holiday-Themed Final Fantasy 15 Downloadable Content

Square Enix revealed that the new Final Fantasy 15 update includes free and paid holiday-themed downloadable content (DLC). Furthermore, it features a self-shooting function that allows gamers to take their own photos in battle. The game giant said that the update can be downloaded on January 24, just in time for the seasonal event. Photo mode details will be revealed soon.

Meanwhile, patch notes from Square Enix Japan revealed that gamers who do not own a Final Fantasy 15 season pass can still get access to the Moogle Chocobo Carnival Event. There will be a Choco-Mog t-shirt skin for Noctis, and nice new photo frames that can be added to the photos snapped in the game. Meanwhile, season pass subscribes can get access to all exclusive content. Square Enix throws in a festive ensemble outfit for Noctis, as well as more photo frames.

Hajime Tabata On Plans For Final Fantasy

Final Fantasy director Hajime Tabata shared their plans on the fifteenth installment of the game. He mentioned they are looking into enhancing the scale and comfort in the back of FF15. In addition, his team plans on including time-limited mob hunts based on the original story. It will be included as a DLC in the game. Tabata heeds the call of the fans, that’s why they are planning to explore a solution in including Iris and Aranea while travelling. Some of the minor characters might be included as well.

He foresees that expansions will be unveiled in 2017. They plan to add multiplayer features including Noctis, Ignis, Gladiolus, and Prompto. Tabata shared that he wants to add an avatar creation system. This lets the players create their own character in the game. However, Tabata is still exploring ways on how to make this feasible in the game. The future DLC will be separate from the main content. It will also offer different modes of play.

The fifteenth installment of Final Fantasy is now available in PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Stay tuned to Video Games Republic to catch the latest on video games, tech, and more.
