The Final Fantasy 7 Remake is estimated to hit the PlayStation 4 next year, along with added new content, and a little bit of adjustments in the character designs.
The long running Final Fantasy series has been present since 1987. While popular enough in Japan to spawn several sequels, it wasn’t until the release of Final Fantasy 7 in 1997 for the PS1 that the series had gained worldwide popularity. Perhaps the most popular in the Final Fantasy series, it has spawned 3 spin-offs, a CG movie, and an OVA.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake was first announced during 2015, and went into full development this year. The following are what to expect in the highly anticipated remake.
The fans would be thankful the characters still retain their original designs, save for a few details. They are only given a more realistic rendition and make over to match up with Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus, as well with Advent Children. Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie are also now more fleshed out despite not being main characters.
It is the best decision to leave the main storyline as is, as opposed to other remakes that had a tendency to change a lot of elements from the original story. The development team had to take great care of not omitting any from the original.
This has lead to the decision for the game to be released in episode format, as also mentioned in Game Rant. The remake would feature additional scenes instead.
Perhaps the biggest change to take place in the game would be replacing the old battle system. It was mentioned that it would be along the lines of Dissidia Final Fantasy.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Figures
