Forza X Leak Debunked By Turn 10 Studios

Forza Horizon 3 is one of the best racing games released for the Xbox One and Windows 10 this year. Fans are already speculating on what could turn out as the successor of this game. Recently, a Forza X leak surfaced on Twitter, revealing a blurry image of a new Forza logo.

User willbsn13 posted the Forza X leak on NeoGAF where it received attention. It also reached the Turn 10 Studios Big Boss Alan Hartman on Twitter where he denied the said leak.

Hartman posted on his Twitter account that he “would never approve that logo.” The big boss himself debunked the rising Forza X leak, so they might have other plans in mind about the game.

Since Twitter user @dirty_paws__ posted the image, fans have speculated several things regarding the leak. The original thread starter at the NeoGAF forums had included some thoughts about the matter.

Logo is Fake but Name Might be Right

The NeoGAF user speculated that the leak could be the second expansion for Forza Horizon 3, a new mode or add-on for Forza Motorsport 7, or a new Forza franchise. He also thought that it might have something to do with the upcoming Project Scorpio by Microsoft.

The NeoGAF user asked the original poster of the leak regarding the source of the image, and she merely directed him to the 4Chan forums. When asked for a specific link, she said that it happened at 3 A.M. and the thread got deleted shortly after.

Although Hartman denied the logo, he did not deny the existence of Forza X. It could mean that their next content release could be similar to some extent. Fans should take note that the next release is the tenth Forza game to come out. So far, Microsoft had released six Forza Motorsport and three Forza Horizon games, so having X or 10 on the next installment is still possible.

Leak Might Relate to Project Scorpio

Even before Hartman’s Twitter post, users over at NeoGAF thought that the logo is fake. Aside from the source, the blurry quality of the leaked photo made the leak feel untrustworthy. Furthermore, the text logo for “Forza X” at the top-right side appeared clearer than the entire image.

Although there are plenty of leaks that turned true on 4Chan, this one definitely belongs to their debunked list. 4Chan users did not even bother to keep their thread going over the matter. However, Microsoft has not yet denied that it might have something to do with Project Scorpio.
