Today is a great day for Gears Of War 4 players. New content has been announced featuring new characters, classic maps and new cards to collect. Players can finally grab hold of all these new features for the game’s Series 2 package January update.
Gears Of War 4 New Characters, Cards, And Skins
Microsoft and The Coalition have announced several new characters as part of the update. The 13 new character cards include Armored Anya and Armored Sam. Also part of the new release are Zombie Minh, Gear Corpse, and more, Game Informer reported. A surprise legacy character will also return as a Scrap-only Card.
There is a total of 280 cards that can be accumulated. Once a player will acquire this, it will also unlock new weapon skins. About 260 new weapon skins across 13 sets are added to the game. This includes the Lightning skin and Chillin weapon pack. These skins are taken from a collection of several new full weapon skin sets which also feature four animated weapon skin sets.

Gears Of War 4 New Map
Xbox Wire revealed that the Series 2 content update also includes two fan-favorite legacy maps. One is the Clocktower, which debuted in the original Gears of War. The other is Blood Drive, which first appeared in Gears of War 2 and was reimagined in Gears of War 3.
The design of Blood Drive combines that of the original Gears of War 2 with the Gears of War 3 remake. Meanwhile, the Clocktower has a classic appeal based on the past games. A video was uploaded on YouTube to give players a glimpse of the new map.
Since The Coalition wants its player to be base unified, Gears of War 4 maps are available for free download. The newly released maps are also free to all players starting January 17. But Season Pass holders can already access the maps today through the Developer playlist.
