Due to a successful Grand Theft Auto (GTA) streak and several more successes, Rockstar Games will definitely be releasing a new installment which is GTA 6.
Rockstar Games’ GTA 5 has six Guinness world records. The game has the highest revenue generated in just 24 hours and is the fastest entertainment property to gain $1 billion. Can GTA 6 follow its predecessor’s lead? To determine whether or not GTA will once again be a record-holder, let us see if the details to the new game can vie to a new record.
Although Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed the development of the game, rumor has it that the game might already be in its early stage of development. Take-Two Interactive has promised that new projects by Rockstar will be revealed soon and GTA 6 may be one of them. But still, many people claim that the company may not feel the urgency to create a new game because of the revenue they acquired with GTA 5 and GTA Online.
Fans should expect many changes in GTA 6. But the game developers would not likely be altering the characters in the game per se. Although rumors that there will be a female protagonist voiced by Hollywood A-lister Eva Mendes have circulated, this is not something that the company will be willing to work on anytime soon.
Rockstar Games seems to be aiming on the Virtual Reailty capacity of the game rather than such aforementioned details. Well at least, this is something bigger to expect.
New Weapons, Cars and Location
Fans can expect that the much revered game will feature new weapons and cars as well as estates and other properties as compared to what GTA Online currently offers.
Even though the team of developers had decided to create a new location for the game which is in Tokyo, some rumor claims that Rockstar has scrapped this due to the Tokyo road system which developers saw as problematic.
Analysts also debunked the possibility of an overseas location especially when GTA mainly focuses on an American venture. Some speculate that a Sin City, San Fierro or Las Venturas location may be added.
Why It May Be Different from GTA 5
A legal conflict between Rockstar and their former president, Leslie Benzies, has ensued. Analysts say that this may affect the next GTA installment because it may follow a different direction. Moreover, the developers are restricted and will have a different insight and may deviate from the old installments.
Rumors abound which indicate that the trailer for this new installment may come in 2018. That is still a long wait but fans expect much of the game.
Rockstar may launch the game in 2020. This sets the mood and excitement of the game’s avid followers. The date of release may be right after the release of Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2.
