After two weeks of delay, gamers can finally play Heavy Gear Assault. It is now available on Steam Early Access at an amazing introductory discounted price.
Heavy Gear Assault release details
MekTek Studios, the game’s Independent Canadian developer, and Stompy Bot Productions are expecting that Heavy Gear Assault will be on Steam Early Access for almost the entire year next year. Although it is now available in the market, the full game is hoped to be released in December 2017.
The MekTek Studios’ newly released game has a regular price tag of $39.99 on Steam Early Access. However, it is now offering a 15% discount bringing down the price to $33.99. According to MMOs, the sale price is for the week of the launch. Moreover, it is reported that the free Steam Key from signing up for the newsletter earlier this month is now being sent.

While the game is on Steam Early Access, MekTek Studios intends to add different modules in it. The list includes Co-op PvE, VR, eSports, A.I., Corporate, Market and Melee modules. On top of that, the first mission for the single player mode will be introduced. An assortment of new maps, weapons and gears are also planned to be released.
The status of the game is still considered unsteady especially following a failed Kickstarter campaign, as reported by Dual Shockers. It was picked up by publisher Stompy Bot Production when it fell short on its $800,000 goal. It is now hoping to gain more funding from sales to further develop it. It seems similar to the now cancelled game, Hero’s Song. Hopefully, Heavy Gear Assault will not end with the same fate.
Heavy Gear Assault is set on a distant planet called Terra Nova. It is an online mech-battle arena where one makes a name for himself to earn fame and fortune. It is a game of competitive Gear Dueling by making use of massive weaponized mechs.
