Warner Bros. confirmed the release date of Injustice 2. NetherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon teased the details on Twitter this week.
Injustice 2 Release Date
NetherRealm Studios director posted a photo that says i2.05.16.17 on Twitter. The text just reads a date directing to a release of May 16, 2017. In addition, the tweet does not include any photo or information. However, Warner Bros. confirmed the release date through GameSpot. The production studio revealed that the game will be released on PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Furthermore, iconic heroes expected to appear in the game include Harley Quinn, and Deadshot. In addition, the character’s fame was amplified due to her appearance in the recently concluded Suicide Squad. Meanwhile, Deadshot will be debuting in the game as one of the most lethal villains in the DC universe.
Moreover, the director teased the possibility of including Watchmen characters in the game. Some of the characters are Rorschach, Ozymadias, Dr. Manhattan, Nite Owl, Silk Spectre, and Comedian to name a few. The lineup is not yet confirmed, however these characters will be a stunning addition to the game.
Injustice 2 Gameplay
The fighting video game retains mechanics from Injustice: Gods Among Us. There will be stage transitions, environment interaction, and character traits in the game. Furthermore, gamers can expand the meter to maneuver and escape the enemy early.
Meanwhile, the studio included a new feature specially made for the game The Gear System offers character-based costume pieces packed with status-altering effects. Furthermore, it uses mechanics reminiscent of role-playing games (RPG) with loot in every match. Players can personalize the look of their chosen heroes and maximize their abilities. This includes strength, speed, defense, health, or new moves.
Meanwhile, players can trade costume pieces such as arms, chest armor, capes, and legs. There are 1,000 options given to the player for each category to choose from. However, the gear system will be disabled during game mode to balance gameplay during the match.
