Rumors regarding Kingdom Hearts 3 being exclusively available on the PlayStation 4 caused quite a stir in the KH fandom. According to the speculations, the game would no longer be playable on the Xbox One.
Talks of this started after fans noticed that the logo for the Xbox One was removed on the game’s website. It wouldn’t come as farfetched since Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and Final Fantasy 15 were released exclusively on the PS4. But, fans who were hoping Kingdom Hearts 3 would be played on the Xbox One were admittedly disappointed.
However, Square Enix has now confirmed that the removal of Microsoft’s Xbox One logo was only a mistake. Kingdom Hearts 3 will still launch on the Xbox One as planned. Furthermore, the logo is now back on the website, assuring fans of its credibility.
There is still no news on the release date for KH 3. But it is confirmed that the game is going to be playable on both the PS4 and Xbox One this time as opposed to just Sony’s platform.

New Trailer Soon?
Fans are wondering when Square Enix will reveal a new trailer for KH 3. The last time anyone saw of KH 3’s gameplay was during the Electronic Entertainment Expo back in 2015. Fans believe it’s high time Square Enix revealed more of their hit game by now.
A recent Dengeki PlayStation interview hints that something special for the Kingdom Hearts fans will be revealed soon. The Kingdom Hearts World Tour series of orchestra concerts on March 10 might show special KH 3 content at the event.
Franchise Composer Yoko Shimomura said that she and Kingdom Hearts Director Tetsuya Nomura have something planned for the fans. She didn’t reveal much of what is to come, but many are banking on a KH 3 trailer.
Shimomura said that Nomura is the supervisor of the movie to be shown in the hall of the event. Though she didn’t mention much about what movie it might be, this could show cutscenes or a trailer of the upcoming game.
The orchestra concert will celebrate the game’s 15th anniversary so hopefully, new content to tease fans would be added. In addition, the Kingdom Hearts 2.8 trailer mentioned that new KH 3 content would come this winter. Although March 10 is just days away from the winter season ending, this still fits the timeline.
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Rating
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 has received positive ratings ever since its release. IGN and GameSpot both gave the game a 7 out of 10 rating.
