The Kingston 2TB Flash Drive has created ripples across the industry. Kingston is now giving you 2 TB of hard drive storage right in your pocket itself! This has created huge excitement amongst fans and tech enthusiasts.
The Kingston 2TB Flash Drive has been a mega announcement this year and should be a hot seller for the company. Kingston earlier debuted the 1 TB Kingston Data Traveler Hyper X Predator USB 3.0 flash drive.
Kingston has earlier unveiled the Data Traveler Ultimate Generation Terabyte. This is a similar 3.0 USB flash drive with capacities going up to two terabytes. This makes use of a USB 3.1 interface.
More Details on the Flash Drive
The Kingston 2TB Flash Drive is a powerful beast as per PC World. The key overshadows the USB connector. This measures approximately 72mm x 26.94mm x 21mm. You can now store 4K videos up to a whopping 70 hours. You can even store a whopping 256,000 photographs of 16 MB each.
In fact, you can also store around 96 PC games in your flash drive. The company is currently not revealing any specific price for the new drive. Price clues can be garnered from the last generation drive options.
Expected Price Points
The Data Traveler Hyper X Predator comes in 512 GB and 1 TB avatars. The former is priced at approximately $295.59 while the latter is priced at $2,730. No prices for these are listed by Kingston on the official website. These are prices taken from other sources.
As a result, one can safely assume that Kingston will charge quite a bit more than $2,730 for the 2 TB product. The price may even double since the product itself makes for a hugely powerful novelty in the market.
Computer World also confirms that this is the highest capacity USB thumb drive to be released.
