Mass Effect Andromeda remains to be one of the most-awaited games of the generation. Fans here and there were ecstatic over the new trailer — although it was not all fun and fanfare.
The gameplay trailer as revealed in The Game Awards 2016 contained five minutes of gameplay sequences. This appears enough for the expecting player to get a tease of things to come.
However, the response appears to be mixed in the game’s community. People were a bit weirded out when the protagonist Sara Ryder had a bit of a facial expression “bug.” This was seen in a tense scene with a Turian.
Mass Effect Andromeda: Weird Face Bug
Fans took to Twitter to voice their comments shortly after the trailer. BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn had to reassure players that fixes will be made for their game.
Sara Ryder is awesome. Strong, funny, and adventurous. Sorry there’s a facial performance bug that lets her down here. We’ll improve it https://t.co/esUaI4aFTJ

Rynn called Sara Ryder “strong, funny and adventurous” in a Tweet. He also wanted players to know that he plans on making updates to the “bug” in question.
The trailer remains to receive criticisms over this “face” problem. However, the cinematic trailer received praise from fans.
New Mass Effect Series
The complaints may stem from the fact that fans also look forward to playing the game. Perhaps BioWare can divert attention away from the game with new gameplay footages.
The game, as it is in production, may still encounter glitches as it prepares for launch. Although, it is understandable that fans are concerned that BioWare released material that isn’t the “best” so far.
Regardless, the good reception to the BioWare series in general is enough to bolster the fan’s trust to the product.
Andromeda remains to be part of the most-anticipated games of the year. Developers are even bringing back features fans have been asking. This includes Loyalty Missions and improvements to the romance system.
However, it may still take time to make the game the “best” it could be. Electronic Arts’ CFO Blake Jorgensen explained they may have to delay the game’s launch for a “full” Mass Effect experience.
Either way, Andromeda is slated for a 2017 release for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
