Mass Effect Andromeda Update: BioWare Confirms Full Nudity In Game

With the release date of Mass Effect Andromeda nearly approaching, developers begin to finalize every detail about the game. Although its Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has not yet been confirmed, BioWare General Manager Aaryn Flynn suggests that it should receive an M rating.

Flynn posted on his official Twitter account that they lost the partial nudity rating and received the full nudity one. Previously released games such as Mass Effect and Mass Effect 3 also received the same ESRB rating for containing partial nudity. Meanwhile, Mass Effect 2 did not mention any of that in its rating.

Mass Effect Andromeda Allows Players to Sleep with Others

According to Polygon, players can make tricky decisions and choices that would allow them to sleep with others. Prior to the release date, many speculations have already surfaced online on who the main character should hook up with.

Flynn saw this discussion in various forums and decided to join in regarding the topic. His tweet said that the game would include “softcore space porn” but fans believe that he is simply having fun with everyone.

Flynn said that he was not kidding regarding what he posted in his previous tweet after fans asked him about it. He further teases fans by posting that some dialogues among the crew of Mass Effect would be “pretty steamy.”

Leaks showing a Mass Effect Andromeda poster further support Flynn’s statements about the ESRB rating of the game. According to the image spotted on the US Amazon Deluxe pre-order posted on the BioWare Social Network, the final rating might be M. The ESRB decided to list the game as for the mature audience based on the following contents found in the game:

  • Blood– Depictions of blood
  • Partial Nudity– Brief and/or mild depictions of nudity
  • Strong Language– Explicit and/or frequent use of profanity
  • Strong Sexual Content– Explicit and/or frequent depictions of sexual behavior, possibly including nudity
  • Violence– Scenes involve aggressive conflict and may contain bloodless dismemberment

BioWare to Release Day One Patch For Mass Effect Andromeda

According to GameSpot, the next Mass Effect would have the file size of at least 55GB and it would include a day one patch on its release. The game will officially come out on March 21, 2017, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Meanwhile, developers plan on opening the multiplayer beta to the public for testing before then.
