Reports of Miguel Ferrer dead just came in today. The talented actor who’s best known for playing Owen Granger on NCIS: Los Angeles reportedly died on Thursday.
News of 61 year old Miguel Ferrer dead filled entertainment headlines today but a couple of months back, the actor haf already been dealing with speculations of a deteriorating health. Fans of NCIS LA noticed a change in his voice in the recent episodes, leading to many wondering if he’s in good health.
According to CBS who gave out a statement regarding Miguel Ferrer dead, the actor died of throat cancer. The entertainment company commended Ferrer as a man of “tremendous talent” and that he will be greatly missed.
A Beloved Actor
Miguel Ferrer wasn’t only known for being Owen Granger. He’s also known for acting as Bob Morton in RoboCop and Albert Rosenfield in Twin Peaks. He’s also known as Vice President Rodriguez in Iron Man 3.

Ferrer has been acting since the 1980s where he appeared in television playing small roles. One minor role he earlier starred in was Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. He then landed a major role in 1987 for RoboCop.
Not only was Ferrer an actor on screen but he also lent his voice to a couple of animated films. Ferrer was the voice of Shan Yu in Disney’s Mulan as well as Big Boss in Rio 2. His most recent work was the voice of Deathstroke in the upcoming Teen Titans: The Judas Contract.
He also voices Sesa ‘Refumee, leader of the heretics in Halo 2. Sesa ‘Refumee is the main antagonist in the first half of the game. One may encounter him in The Arbiter and The Oracle level.
Sesa ‘Refumee was known for taking the base on Basis and the Gas Mine on Threshold. His combat skill is known for using two Holo-Drones in a fight. He also wears a shield that could take up to two Energy Sword attacks.
