NCIS: Los Angeles is currently on air but the current headlines related to it actually do not have anything to do with the plot. In fact, it is about a cast member leaving the show. Although Daniela Ruah is the obvious choice, recent rumors are pointing at another actor, Miguel Ferrer.
NCIS: Los Angeles season 8 spoilers suggested that a character will be leaving the show. Almost immediately, fans speculated that it will be Daniela Ruah because of her maternity leave. The actress is playing the character Kensi Blye.
Kensi Blye was seriously injured during a mission in Syria. She was trapped underneath the helicopter she was on when it was shot down by the Syrians. She ended up in the intensive care unit in a hospital back in the U.S. and is currently in a state of coma.
This plot was to make her maternity leave possible. There was no announcement that she will not return after her leave so the character who will die this season is still unknown.
Did Ferrer suffer a stroke?
However, Miguel Ferrer’s name soon came up. Many people speculated that the actor suffered from a mild stroke recently. It is because he had slurred speech during the past episodes. This is very odd indeed as he is known for his villainous voice.
This speculation is not entirely out of the blue as Tripped Media reported that the family of Ferrer has a history of cancer. According to a report by Morning News USA, Ferrer’s father, Jose Ferrer, died of colon cancer while his mom died of lung cancer. This is why the actor supports the fight against the deadly disease.
It is not known yet if Ferrer is the one departing NCIS: Los Angeles but for sure, he will not be leaving the living world. The actor recently confirmed that he will be returning to reprise his role in Twin Peaks.
