PS4 Games 2017 Features Koei Tecmo
The game giant outlined some Koei Tecmo titles in its PlayStation Blog post. However, it only featured eight of them instead of the announced 12. Here are the eight titles in the PS4 Games 2017 list.
Ar Nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star
Ar Nosurge is a prequel to the studio’s Ar tonelico trilogy of titles. The game revolves around human bonds and the inner surface of the heart. On a fictional planet named Ra Ciela, spiritual lifeform known as Genoms previously co-existed. However, humans began a journey through space in a colony ship called Soreil. They started to search for planets they could inhabit.
A hostile life-form known as the Sharls suddenly attacked them. This is an unfortunate event after almost 5000 years of space exploration. The Sharls abducted the humans living in the residential areas of Soreil. They were powerless to stop the Sharls due to them acquiring the power of Song Magic.
However, the Felion Wall opened. From inside emerged the Ancients, who have the ability to use the same Song Magic as the Sharl.
Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War
Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War looks into the conflict between England and France in the 14th and 15th centuries. Gamers can start this PS4 Games 2017 title by creating a mercenary character. Unlike characters from other Koei games like Dynasty Warriors and Crimson Sea, the character must lead squads of troops to be more powerful. As the game ensues, they need to improve the character by getting quality arms and armor. In addition, they should improve leadership abilities, while learning how to command numerous units.
Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires
Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires explores Ancient China. Here, players become a leader whose goal is to conquer and keep all regions of China. The player can additionally become a Vagrant, which is an unaligned wanderer in the game.
Even more, they can be a vassal serving a lord, aside from becoming a ruler. However, players can step down from any force at any time. It can be either by betraying their allies or moving to another organization. In addition, players can make oaths of friendship with fellow officers. They can also marry other characters in the game.
Ninja Gaiden 3
Team Ninja developed the action-adventure title called Ninja Gaiden 3. The game is the first in the modern series to be directed by someone other than former franchise director Tomonobu Itagaki. Fumihiko Yasuda and Yosuke Hayashi stepped in for the role.
The plot follows Ryu Hayabusa, the main protagonist in the game. He is called upon by the Japanese Self-Defense Force to deal with a terrorist group. It is led by the mysterious alchemist called the Regent of the Mask. Upon seeing the alchemist in London, he curses Ryu’s right arm with the Grip of Murder. The Grip thrives on all the lives Ryu has taken.
Meanwhile, Ryu goes back to the JSDF Yunagi after escaping the Prime Minister’s mansion ruined by an incoming missile. Ryu and JSDF member Mizuki McCloud watch as the Regent demands the surrender by the nations of the world in seven grueling days.
Next, Quantum Theory is a third-person shooter video game developed by Team Tachyon. It revolves around two protagonists named Syd and Filena who must fight through a living tower. The tower is constantly ruined in the game. It intensifies as the game progresses.
Samurai Warriors 4
Samurai Warriors 4 offers a selection of playable characters according to their participation in the battles. Furthermore, all of the stories lead to two separate chapters.
Unification mainly tells the journey of historical samurai leader Hideyoshi Toyotomi in uniting Japan. Secondly, it explores the conflicts between the Eastern and Western armies in the game.
Warriors: Legends of Troy
Warriors: Legends of Troy, is heavily influenced by its mother series, Dynasty Warriors. It features the same hack-and-slash gameplay, with several changes. Here, the player controls characters from a third-person perspective and is required to face big amounts of opponents. They can use their shield as a means of attacking and can throw weapons such as javelins and boulders. Moreover, they can pick up other soldiers and use them as weapons in the game.
The Normal and Charge attacks are replaced by Quick Attack, Focused Attack, and Stun Attack. As the player charges through enemies, they are awarded Kleos, the currency for the game. Kleos can be used to buy rare items for any use. Collecting Kleos during gameplay is the only way for the gamer to restore health. Unlike Dynasty Warriors, there are no recovery items found on the battlefield.
Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is a third-person hack-and-slash video game that includes elements similar to previous titles in the franchise. Players can run, jump, attack, and block opponents using Yaiba’s blade. A score multiplier on the right-hand of the screen increases the player’s hit-count. The Ultimate Technique mode seen in other titles has been changed by a mode called Bloodlust. It allows Yaiba to destroy multiple enemies around him when activated.
PlayStation Now is the game giant’s subscription service that allows games to be streamed on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, and other devices.
