The new Notebook 9 has been improved by Samsung. It got even sleeker and lighter. Apple’s MacBook now has a run for its money. Apple consumers may now shift to the new Samsung model for a thinner and lighter laptop.
The Samsung Notebook 9 has been boosted by Kaby Lake processors and a seven-generation Intel CPU has been embedded in the device. Compare the new Samsung notebook to Apple’s newest laptops and you will know that the latter runs on the older 6th generation Skylake processors.
Samsung Notebook 9: Two Sizes
The Samsung Notebook 9 comes in two screen sizes, one is a 13.3-inch notebook while the other is a 15-inch. The lightest laptop in the market would be the Samsung 13.3 inch Notebook 9. In fact, it is even lighter than the 2016 MacBook Pro according to Beta News.
Both versions are highly portable. They have a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello. They get an FHD display and an outdoor mode during bright conditions.
These devices also have HDMI and USB Type-A for those that still need it while Apple’s newest laptops require wireless adapters for this function.
Their battery life is up to 7 hours. But, the newest MacBook Pro can get up to 10 hours. Yet Samsung’s 7-hour battery life can be fully powered in just 80 minutes!
Here are the other specs for both notebooks:
- USB Type-C port backed up by USB 3.0 connectors
- 802.11ac 2×2 Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth 4.1
- GB of DDR4 RAM
- 256GB of storage
Samsung Notebook 9 15-inch
- 348 x 229 x 14.9mm
- weight: 2.17lbs (around 985g)
- Core i7 processor
- additional USB 2.0 port with HDMI and a microSD slot

Samsung Notebook 9 13.3-inch

On a negative note, the Notebook 9 with both 16GB RAM and an NVMe drive is not available in the market. Both laptop’s display sizes are unfortunately limited to only 1080p.
The release date for these newest models are still unknown and their prices are yet similarly undefined. We might heart something at the CES 2017, says News Factor.
