The Nokia Viki or an AI assistant is now a pending trademark filed by the company. Nokia is reportedly planning to create its own assistant on the lines of other rivals. News has emerged of an EU trademark filed by the company.
The Nokia Viki is clearly hinted at in this trademark. This clearly confirms that Nokia Solutions and Networks has filed for an AI assistant. However, HMD is not involved in this initiative.
The trademark description clearly highlights “software for the creation and monitoring of mobile and web digital assistants”. It also talked of these assistants “working with knowledge and combining all data sources”. This would then lead to a “single chat and voice based interface”.
