Overwatch Oasis Map: New Obstacles, How To Play & More

The Overwatch Oasis Map has just been added to the latest update for the PC test version. The Oasis map, however, is far from some serene area with vegetation in the middle of the desert. The vegetation and desert are there of course, but it is actually a futuristic Arabic city in the middle of the desert.

Since it is an urban area, expect buildings and related hazards in the city, such as jump pads and cars. Instead of just static cars that are just a part of the background, they are actually running. And just like in real life, you could actually get run over by them and die in one hit. This is the worst hazard for players who love running around recklessly.

The Overwatch Oasis Map: a shining jewel rising

Oasis is one of the world’s most advanced cities, a shining jewel rising from the Arabian Desert. A monument to human ingenuity and invention, researchers and academics from around the region came together to found a city dedicated to scientific progress without restraints. The city and its inhabitants are governed by the Ministries, a collection of brilliant minds who possess many secrets that have attracted the interest of powerful organizations from around the world.

The Overwatch Oasis Map as perfectly described from the official Overwatch website. It is also a ‘Control’ type map. Anyone with a PC version of the game should already give the place a shot.

The Overwatch Oasis Map accompanying updates:

Aside from the map itself, the additional updates include a new unlockable voice line for Sombra. Players also now have the option to choose the in the custom game menu the 1 on 1 Mystery Duel and 3 on 3 Elimination modes. Finally, a “Stay as Team” feature has also been added. This prevents players for having to switch groups after a game has ended.

The Oasis has been first revealed at BlizzCon, as reported in the GameSpot website. PC version owners are in luck to be the first ones to try out this new map.
