Although the Persona 5 release date was already revealed, there are still many features and details about it that are still kept secret. But as its release date is nearing, more details about the game emerge.
For sure, many are looking forward to playing the new installment of the Japanese game. But it appears that it wouldn’t be available on all gaming consoles.
Persona 5 Release Date On PlayStation
The Altus and P-Studio developed game is set for release in North America and Europe on April 4, 2017, with a price of $49.99. For now, Japanese players are already enjoying the game since it was first released in the area.
This turn-based RPG game will only be available on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. It was also recently announced that it will not be released on Nintendo Switch and PC. Said announcement was made via Twitter by Atlus USA and SEGA of America PR manager John Hardin, IGN reported.
“Persona 5 platforms: PS3, PS4. Yakuza 0 platforms: PS4. THAT’S. IT. No Switch. No PC,” said Hardin confirming that even Yakuza 0 will also not be ported to Switch and PC.
According to Gematsu, Yakuza 0 will be launched for PlayStation 4 in the Americas and Europe on January 24, 2017. While the packaging of Yakuza 0 bears a “PS4 Console Exclusive” label, that of the Persona 5 doesn’t feature any indication at all. This explains why many were taken aback by the recent announcement of Altus since many are hoping to play the game on PC.
The Game’s Storyline
The game is about a group of high school teenagers who have mysterious alter egos that reveal their “phantom thief” side. Players will take the role of a second-year high school student who is a Persona user.
The protagonist of the game just moved to Tokyo for his studies. He is quiet and well-mannered but inside him is a totally different persona.
