Pillars Of Eternity 2 Release Date: Devs Seeking $1M Funding

Pillars of Eternity 2 is releasing soon. However, the developers, Obsidian Entertainment, are seeking around $1.1 million in funding. This is being sought through the Fig campaign.

Pillars of Eternity 2:Deadfire is a sequel to the earlier role playing game for the PC. The original game released in 2015. Players will now go to the Deadfire Archipelago.

In Pillars of Eternity 2, the game is situated further from the Eastern Reach colonies. There are hundreds of diverse islands, many of which are still virgin. Some are inhabited by settlers, as per Gematsu.

Eothas is Still Alive

The god of light and rebirth, Eothas, is not dead. He now occupies the stone titan buried for a long time. The wayward god is to be tracked down for some pivotal answers.

The first game released after 77, 000 people worked on the development team. Now, crowdfunding is the key towards a swift release. You can now journey through sea and land across Deadfire islands.

You can also resolve conflicts between trading organizations and local settlers. There are pirates that you need to face as well. Settlers carry on with their own tasks and daily affairs. You will get both familiar and new travelers or companions.

What Else Can You Expect?

You can continue your story as the Watcher of Caed Nua. There will be a dynamic weather template with everything from rain and sandstorm to strong winds. There will also be a new shadow and dynamic lighting engine. This will infuse greater life into all characters and abilities.

Paste confirms the crowdfunding campaign released by the developers. The funding target as mentioned is $1.1 million. The developers are opting to keep $2.25 million of equity open for grabs.

The game is expected to release in the first quarter of 2018. The first game also underwent a Kickstarter campaign in 2012. This campaign managed to raise a whopping $4 million.
