Pokemon Duel Guide To Evolving: Here’s How It Works

Pokemon Duel didn’t have quite the popularity that Pokemon GO had. However, Pokemon Duel features more depth than its predecessor. The game puts players in competitive battles using the Pokemon creatures. Players can unlock additional Pokemon to customize their team and battle against artificial intelligence or other trainers. Here’s a Pokemon Duel guide on how to evolve Pokemon.

Pokemon Duel Guide On How To Evolve Pokemon

One of the most important mechanics of every Pokemon game is evolution. It is just the same as for Pokemon Duel. In this mobile game, players can evolve Pokemon onto the board to battle with the rest of the squad.

First, players need to assign an evolved version of a Pokemon to the lineup. Once players have unlocked the evolution figure, there are some details to take note of regarding the straightforward style of the game. The main one is that Pokemon who evolve mid-match have a 10 point damage bonus. For instance, evolving Squirtle into Wartortle mid-match makes the Pokemon much stronger than it would be if Wartortle was in the starting lineup.

Take a look at the following Pokemon Duel Guide on how to evolve mid-battle.

Customize Deck

Here is a Pokemon Duel guide on how to customize the lineup in the game. Before the match begins, go to the decks to customize the starting lineup. From this view, players will notice that every Pokemon that can evolve has a blue dot. If the blue dot isn’t glowing, that means there is no evolution yet for that Pokemon. Once in the Edit Figures menu, players can pick the Pokemon they want by clicking the blue button below it. However, players can only set an evolution if they have acquired the correct evolved figure.

Assign Evolution

Once in the Edit Evolution screen, select the evolved figure that should come out during a mid-match evolution. Now, players can confirm that the evolution is set by going back to the lineup screen. From here, the Pokemon with an evolution in place will now have a glowing blue dot.

To activate the evolution in a match, the Pokemon will need to win a battle. Enter combat on the game like usual. If the Pokemon successfully Knocks Out another monster, then there will be another option to evolve. Players may decline to evolve, but when starting out, it is usually the best option to go ahead and power up for the bonus.

The evolution strategy can get very tricky in more advanced matches. It is best to master the basics. Pokemon Duel is available now on mobile devices. Stay tuned to Video Games Republic to catch the latest on video games, tech, and more.
