A new wave of Generation 2 Pokémon are crashing the streets and stops of Pokemon GO. Here’s a comprehensive list of creatures that are expected to be caught in the smash-hit, real world adventure game.
Gen 2 revealed eight baby Pokémon in the mobile app. Two of the eight can be evolved into a stronger Pokémon, while the remaining six are tiny versions of Generation 1 creatures.
Gen 2 Pokémons Available In Pokemon Go
Once the December 12 Pokémon GO update is installed, players can catch Togepi, Pichu, and several other Pokémons in the game. The trailer that was tweeted in the official page hinted that players will need to hatch Eggs in order to add these fancy creatures in their Pokédex.
Seven of the Gen 2 Pokémon have been seen in the mobile app so far. Pichu and Togepi appearsonce 5 kilometre eggs are hatched. Meanwhile, Cleffa and Igglybuff were hatched in a 2 km egg. A mini version of Electabuzz also known as Elekid, can be acquired if the trainer hatches a 10 km egg. There is also a sighting of an adorable baby Magmar called Magby in the 10 km eggs respectively.

Smoochum, the cute mini version of Jynx, has not appeared in the game as of writing. Fans of the Pokémon franchise are also looking for Tyrogue who is yet to appear in the app soon. Tyrogue can be evolved into Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Hitmontop.
Full Gen 2 Pokémon Release Date
The release of the complete batch of Gen 2 Pokémon is anticipated to happen soon. The change in the Pokédex count is a giveaway of creatures that are secretly scheduled to arrive. The list shows that trainers can now catch 174 Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokémons.
