Pokemon Go appears to be hard at work in winning its fans back. This time, a Valentine’s event may have new monsters in its release. Of course, this can be an effective strategy in attracting more attention for the game.
The game is perhaps the most famous of the mobile Pokemon titles so far. After all, Pokemon Go did have quite the critical acclaim during its release. It even reached the top spot of application stores, and earned Nintendo quite the money with transactions.
However, it can also be remembered that Pokemon Go did not keep the limelight for long. Its steep learning curve and demanding levelling options had some players leave the game. Regardless, its Halloween and Christmas events tried to keep players and win some back. This time, surprises are also teased for its Valentine’s event.
New Gen 2 Pokemon?
Slash Gear elaborated much of the mystery surrounding the new Generation 2 Pokemon speculated to arrive in the game. It was confirmed that Blissey and Porygon will be in the game, but it appears more are in the works. None of these are confirmed, though, so fans ought to take these with a grain of salt.
It can be remembered that there are updated IDs for Pokemon in the game’s Master File. There are now more than 151 Pokemon in the game, and by the time Chikorita arrives, it will be assigned #152 in the Pokedex. It appears these numbers are also now replaced with their actual names, meaning their arrival may be imminent.
There is also new information on some screens. For instance, a new Buddy size named “BUDDY_BABY” is seen, meaning there may be smaller Pokemon on the way. This was confirmed with the recent arrival of baby Pokemon, but more might be revealed soon. However, Slash Gear also said that if there are any new arrivals from Generation 2, it ought to be the starters: Chikorita, Totodile and Cyndaquil.
