Pokemon Sun And Moon Guide To Mega Stones & Where To Find Them

Sun and Moon have improved on the Mega Evolution, which is a practice of evolving a certain Pokémon into more powerful forms. Mega Stones are required to evolve these creatures. However, these items are only available in the game once the main story is completed. Here is a Pokemon Sun and Moon guide on how and where to find Mega Stones.

Sun and Moon Guide: Mega Stones Locations

Here is a Pokemon Sun and Moon guide created by Eurogamer. Not all Mega Evolutions are available in the game. First, it details how to get all of the Mega Stones that are available in the game. Secondly, it shows the Mega Stones that will be available soon. Players are still waiting to hear more on the arrival of other Mega Stones from the Pokémon Company.

Pokemon Sun and Moon Guide: How To Find The Key Stone

Players need to get their hands on the Mega Ring and its Key Stone to find the Mega Stones. Even more, it doesn’t matter whether they have imported them from Pokémon Bank or not. Take a look at their locations in this Pokemon Sun and Moon guide:

The Key Stone is used to defeat Dexio on the Ancient Poni Path. In addition, this will be available after defeating the Elite Four. Go to the Ancient Poni Path once the Elite Four is defeated. Dexio will stop the gamer out of the blue, prompting a battle with the player on the spot. It is important that players have a fairly strong Psychic-based team to win.

Once defeated, Dexio will give both the Key Stone and Alakazite for their victory. Next, gamers can finally Mega Evolve their Pokémon in battle. It is important to note that they should have the Mega Stone on hand for this to work.

What Are Mega Stones?

Mega Stones are evolutionary stones which allow certain Pokémon to reach their final form in this Pokemon Sun and Moon guide. Furthermore, it can be for one-evolution families, or second and true final form for branch-evolution families. The “-ite” or “-nite” before its Pokemon name identifies the Mega Stone. However, the evolution can change the Pokemon to their pre-evolved form upon the conclusion of a battle.

As with previous installments, each game continues the journey of a young Pokémon trainer. Moreover, the game takes place in the Alola region with the objective to stop the criminal organization Team Skull. An additional objective is attempting to defeat various Pokémon trainers of gradually increasing difficulties.
