The fun doesn’t stop with Pokemon Sun & Moon, especially thanks to the game’s periodical roll out of Global Missions, special events, and giveaways. On that note, a new event giveaway has been announced in the form of free Pokemon yet again! This time, it involves the Legendary birds: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres.
Sun & Moon has been known for its Pokemon giveaways. It previously gave away a Munchlax via a distribution event that was accessible for early buyers of the game. In another instance, a Magearna had also been distributed through the Pokemon site with a QR code. Clearly, Sun & Moon is rather generous with its free Pokemon for trainers all over the world.
The fun doesn’t stop there, because Sun & Moon is the gift that keeps on giving. This time around, players will be able to acquire Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres all for free.
Pokemon Sun & Moon Distribution Event For Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres
The special event giveaway will be taking place this April 1. Fans can anticipate a QR code for each Legendary Pokemon to be made available by then. After scanning the QR code, head to the deliveryman at the Antiques of the Ages shop located in Hau’oli City. From there, you will receive the Pokemon. Don’t forget to save your game progress along the way as well.
Fans previously managed to acquire other Pokemon from previous generations thanks to the game’s Pokemon Bank feature. This allowed players to transfer their Pokemon from save files of other Pokemon games (such as Pokemon X & Y, for example) and have them in their current Sun & Moon files. This was Sun & Moon’s alternative method to providing players with even more Pokemon in their roster.
What Are Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres?
The aforementioned Pokemon are Legendary birds from Generation 1. Thus, they have been referred to as the first Legendary trio in the Pokemon franchise. Each bird pertains to one particular element: Ice for Articuno, Electricity for Zapdos, and Fire for Moltres. Being bird Pokemon, all three are Flying-type. According to the Pokemon lore, the three Legendary birds share a master in another Legendary Pokemon, Lugia.
Legendary Pokemon are no easy feat to catch, so you better jump on the opportunity to acquire them for free in Pokemon Sun & Moon as soon as you can! QR codes for the Pokemon can be found here.
