Salaam is best known for winning the Heisman Trophy winner in 1994 and his death has shocked thousands of NFL enthusiasts. Salaam had a fulfilling NFL and University of Colorado career behind him.

It was first reported that the body of a man was found at 8.45 PM on the 5th of December. This body was discovered at the parking lot of the Eben G. Fine Park. After being declared dead, the man was identified as Salaam who originally resided at Superior, Colorado. The death reports have been confirmed by USA Today as well.

Khalada, the star’s mother, talked of how the police found a note with the body as well. She stated that “they said they found a note”. She also added that the police “would share that with us when we get there”.

According to the Athletic Director Rick George, this is a huge loss for “the Buff Family”. He added that “an outstanding young man” had died. Salaam led the Buffs to a fabulous 11-1 record in the 1994 season. He also rushed 2, 055 yards overall, helping the Buffs to a win over Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.

The Buffs ended the season by earning the 3rd rank in college football. After the CU Buffaloes, Salaam played four seasons in the NFL. Three of these years were spent playing for the Chicago Bears while he spent a year at the Cleveland Browns.
