Is Red Dead Redemption 2 finally getting a release date? According to a leak, the game might be released by the end of this year.
Rockstar, the developers behind Read Dead Redemption 2, pumped up the fans last October with an announcement saying that the game is in development. Teaser art was revealed although it didn’t provide any details as to when is the game’s release.
However, a retailer might just have revealed more than just teaser art. They may have also revealed the exact release date too.
A retailer in United Kingdom listed RDR 2 with a date for October 2. But after fans noticed this detail, the retailer who is known as Littlewoods, removed the date and changed it to December 29, 2017.

Fans expressed that December 29 could just be a placeholder. The first date which was October 2 could also be a placeholder. However, no release date has been revealed by Rockstar as of the moment and all these dates are just speculations.
Will Red Dead Redemption 2 Be A Hit?
Rockstar is joining the release of several other games this year, should RDR 2 be released. Star Wars Battlefront, Destiny, and Call of Duty are all set for this year. Should they release RDR 2 around October, they may be able to “monopolize” the scene, as expressed by CounselHeal.com
Aside from all these speculations, fans are concerned that RDR2 may not be as popular as Grand Theft Auto. Fans have suggested Rockstar should have their games cross promote with each other so as to market it better. One of these is giving players enticement should they play the games together. EA has already done this to increase sales for their own games.
