The original game featured the same gameplay mechanics the first Resident Evil game had. Players have to explore the city while killing zombies and solving puzzles.
The game had two original protagonists that can carry firearms which they can use against zombies. Players can check from their status screen the conditions of their characters.
If wounded, players can use, like in past and present Resident Evil games, medicine or herbs to heal their characters. Their condition can also be based on how they are acting. If they are in pain, the characters will hold their stomachs and if they are about to die, they will limp slowly.
Resident Evil 2 Plot
The game will start two months after the happenings of the first Resident Evil game in the fictional Raccoon City. Everyone became zombies because of the T-virus, a biological weapon developed by the Umbrella company.
The two main characters of the game are Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Leon is a rookie police while Claire is a college student searching for his brother Chris.
The two will have to work together in order to survive and save the other survivors. It will feature a Zapping System which will have each of them encounter a scenario that will unlock others. The remastered version is expected to have enhanced graphics and additional features to its gameplay.
