The Bakers, new weapons and more scares. These are just some of the elements to expect in Resident Evil 7, the newest installment of Capcom’s most successful franchise.
A Look At Resident Evil 7 And Other Games In The Franchise
There is a total 27 Resident Evil titles that have been released thus far. Moreover, each game took its players to many twists and turns. From light guns, to zombies, and biohazards, the franchise continues to surprise.
Furthermore, the main titles didn’t usually follow the same story. In addition, the developers consciously fuse the story based on the trends.
What’s In The Game
The game follows Ethan Winters, the new protagonist who is looking for his missing wife named Mia. He encounters an evil and demented family named The Bakers, whose main purpose in the game is still unknown.
Meanwhile, there will be various difficulty modes to cater to the players’ abilities. There will be Casual, Normal, and Hard. Furthermore, the Hard mode can be unlocked by going through the Normal level first.
New downloadable content (DLC) will be released as well. Capcom teased that there will be a playable card game, riddles and a wave-based horde mode. In addition, the DLCs will be released with a chapter on its own.
Compared to the previous Resident Evil games, the seventh installment will be set in first person point of view. Capcom wants Resident Evil to scare its gamers to their wits end, packed with immersive environments. Furthermore, the studio wants the experience to be life-like.
Weapons, Zombies And More
The studio did not confirm that there will be zombies. However, there will be some kind of entity that the protagonist needs to defeat. The game will make references to previous installments. The full title Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a clue to things that will happen in the game.
Players will be given regular firearms in the game. In addition, the weapons will include pistols, shotguns, chainsaws, and shovels among others. Since the protagonist is just a normal person, the choices are fairly different compared to the other games. Meanwhile, the ammo will be quite a challenge for the players because the supply will be steep.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will be released on January 24 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Stay tuned to Video Games Republic to catch the latest on tech, games and more.
