Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Update: Edge Display, Model Number For 2017 Release Leaked

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 chapter was a disaster to say the least. Tech experts and enthusiasts were miffed by the fiasco and even predicted the end of the South Korean tech giant’s Galaxy Note series. However, fresh reports suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is already in the works, and could be released soon in order to check Samsung’s bleeding customer base.

This has not come as a surprise to many as tech behemoths Samsung and Apple do not simply close a line for a single-handset disaster. They come back with a bang. Hence, Samsung can very well incorporate some revolutionary hardware into the Galaxy Note 8 device to wow customers yet again.

Moreover, the company is already conducting the Galaxy Upgrade Program wherein Galaxy Note 7 sufferers have been given the choice to upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy S7 or a Samsung  Galaxy S7 Edge. Once the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 handsets are released, these customers will be offered great discounts on the smartphones.

However, not much is known about the Samsung Note 8 release date and specs. Reliable tipster Evan Blass has assured fans on Twitter that the smartphone is already being developed and carries the model number SM-N950, writes Tech Radar.

“Samsung Galaxy S8 models are indeed skipping SM-G94* model numbers, will ship as SM-G950 & SM-G955. Know what else is in the works? SM-N950,” Blass writes in his Twitter post.

According to BGR, Samsung may also decide to cancel the Galaxy Note 8 though at this point in time, the company is actively focusing on the Galaxy S8 and Note 8. Even though details about the Samsung Note 8 release date and specs are scarce, Blass has hinted at an edge display for the Samsung Galaxy S8 models.

Recent reports have suggested that Samsung is moving away from flat screens and this could be true as the Galaxy Note 7 too did not have a flat screen.

Stay tuned on VGR for more updates on Samsung Galaxy Note 8 release date, specs and features.
