Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date Hinted To Be April 18

The Samsung Galaxy S8 release date has been a subject of huge speculation amongst tech buffs. However, the latest updates hint at an official launch of the smartphone on the 18th of April, 2017. Nothing has been confirmed officially by Samsung as of yet.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 release date is awaited eagerly by several prospective fans looking for an upgrade. There are several rumors floating around and the latest one has got tech enthusiasts really excited.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 release date was earlier expected to be March. This is because most people compared last year’s release of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge on 11th March.

What Samsung Was Expected to Do

However, this may well change as per the latest reports. GSM Arena states that Samsung was earlier prepared to announce the release date at the Mobile World Congress. The event will take place next month.

However, several changes in design and other reports released on issues faced by the Note 7 have pushed back the launch. The fires on the Note 7 were reportedly caused by hardware design issues. The battery is not the main cause of concern as per reports.

What Can Be Expected Now?

The S8 is expected to get thorough design changes both internally and on the exterior. The display will eat up approximately 90% of the front fascia of the smartphone. These entail longer time in production which seems to be the reason for the delay in the launch.

BGR has also confirmed that there are rumors of a possible launch on the 18th of April, 2017. Samsung is being extra careful this time which is the natural thing to do. Sources are also talking of the S8 going into production lines from this March.

The company is expected to unveil multiple Galaxy S8 variants in the market. These would include phones with dual edge curved display units. There would also be flat display units as standard as per sources.
