Rumors have flown thick and fast regarding the Samsung Gear S3. Yet, the company has now pulled off an incredible feat. Samsung has already announced the live iOS app for the Gear S3 smartwatch.
You will now be able to use this iOS app for the Samsung Gear S3 and S2 smartwatches. The Samsung Gear S app will offer more advanced tracking for the watch along with support. It will also make sure that you can download and install watch apps directly.
If you are still confused, the Samsung Gear S3 will now enable you to get all the desired faces of the watch from the Gear store. You will also be able to get all apps directly from here. The Gear will now become one of the very first non-Apple smartwatch offerings to be available for the iPhone.
Why Google Wear Does Not Match Up
As per Polygon, excellent support mechanisms are being offered. The Apple Watch is the only smartwatch available in recent times with full iPhone support. Most smartwatches available in the market are based on Google Wear. This has been designed exclusively for devices using Android platforms.
Google Wear also comes with its own iOS app but this is quite restricted in comparison. This app only offers a miniscule number of faces for watches. It also offers just support in terms of notifications. A big majority of apps made for Android are skipped in this case.
How Samsung Made It Possible
Samsung has made something seemingly impossible turn into reality. The operating system Tizen which is based on Linux, has made it possible. Tizen does not rely on either Android or WatchOS.
The app will have support features for several apps including Yelp, CNN and Flipbook. It will also support a large number of faces for smart watches. 9 to 5 Mac reports that the Gear Fit2 is also compatible with iOS now.
