Weight Classes, Snipers
In the game, there are three different types of weight classes for the mecha units. These are the light, medium, and heavy classes. Furthermore, each one comes with two varying types of units.
Lightweight classes have Engineers with a radar weapon and Snipers that use rifles. Meanwhile, middleweight classes come with a rocket launcher weapon, while the Support unit includes a repair kit. Heavyweight units are packed with Striker and cannons, while the Heavy Assault class comes with a Gatling Gun.
At 0:50 in the footage above, the units can be seen in the order of Assault, Support, Sniper, Engineer, Heavy Assault, and Striker. Furthermore, it explains how players will have three artificial intelligence (AI) units called Figureheads that will follow the users around. Players need to give instructions from various selections in the game.
Repair Points And More
As far as the online five-players-versus-five-players (5v5) team battles go, each user will be equipped with three Figureheads. With the gamers included, there will be a total of 20 units per side. Players and their AI units will play a role in the shootouts, with supporters in the back, and attackers in front.
On the maps, there are Repair Points that can be used to recover the unit’s health. Moreover, there is a Supply Point to get some ammo in the game. Utilizing these areas and taking over the game’s surroundings will be a key factor in winning all the matches.
In addition, players can win by taking over the other team’s outpost. However, they need to be careful because the enemy will do the same. It is crucial that the users defends their own post as well. Finally, the last part of the video shows how players can customize their unit along with the other AIs.
Figureheads is currently available for PC in Japan. Figureheads PS4 will be available on March 9, 2017.
