Will the Rumors come true?

There are however other rumors that both Disney and Lucas Film wish to use Obi-Wan Kenobi in Episode 8 and 9 respectively. They are reportedly withholding the character for use in the main series as per latest rumors.

According to Anthony Breznican, Obi-Wan Kenobi will still play a vital role in the saga films. He confirmed that he “wouldn’t be surprised to see an Obi-Wan” film taking place after the 9th episode. Cinema Blend has also confirmed that Obi-Wan Kenobi might make a return in the 8th episode of the main saga films.

Will there be Spin-offs?

Ewan McGregor has earlier lent his voice to this Star Wars character. He did this briefly for The Force Awakens which was the very first part in the sequel saga lineup. The rumors are not exactly off the target, though spin-off rumors may not turn out true.

It has also been announced recently that there will be no sequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. This is because the makers want to free up room for other individual stories and unique offerings.
