Titanfall 2 fans will now have new reasons to look forward to the game. Respawn Entertainment teases a new batch of free updates for players. This marks quite an exciting 2017 for the game’s downloadable content (DLC) listing.
Fans of Titanfall 2 were surprised to see that the game actually had a brand new story mode campaign. This was not an option during the first game’s release. The story mode added a new dimension to the game’s brand new gameplay mechanic.
Titanfall 2 has returned the game’s much-acclaimed robot-on-robot action. The game allows players to assume the roles of pilots and Titans, as in gigantic mechs that have special abilities. This allows a new variety of cooperative gameplay among players. However, it seems the game has more in store for fans.
Titanfall 2 DLC: New Maps, Modes
The news came courtesy of game developer Respawn Entertainment. Their new DLC plans for February, March and the rest of the year appear to be filled with new features and game modes for fans. Here are some of the game’s exciting new additions for the remainder of the year.
A new mode called Live Fire was released for the game very recently. According to the game’s official website, the new mode is a new six-on-six elimination mode akin to regular matches in popular games. However, once a player is killed, they are permanently out of the match.
The game also adds two new maps that “forces confrontation,” called Columns. This is a new Coliseum map that has choke points and flank routes that have to be used to their advantage. Players will also be unlocking Colony by March. This is a redesigned version of the multiplayer arena from the first title.
New Features, Playlist
The game will also add new cosmetic additions such as new commander intros for every faction and a new playlist interface. The goal, according to the website, is to allow players to make their “mixtapes” and choose the modes they want to be matched in.
According to Game Rant, the game will also include a balance patch in the next few updates. Although the game itself appears to be balanced, there are still certain gear combinations that players rely on to gain quicker successes. This will be balanced in an upcoming DLC in March.
This will also force players to be more adaptable and use other Titans as well. The new DLC will add room for improvement and improvisation as all Titans will hopefully be used. Respawn Entertainment will be revealing new details about the DLCs in the coming weeks. However, for now, players can sit back and relax as Respawn got them covered in their Titanfall fix.
