Titanfall 2 Update: Live Fire Mode, New Maps & More

Titanfall 2 is one game among the list of games that will get an update as 2017 progresses. Respawn Entertainment includes a pilot-only Live Fire mode and three more free maps in this newest update. The studio has not yet revealed when they will be dropping this new content but they mentioned that it is “coming soon”. Players can play the game in Windows PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Live Fire Mode

Respawn Entertainment, as announced in the Titanfall website , adds a new pilot-only mode in its first-person shooter Titanfall 2 game applicable in multiplayer. They call this Live Fire. It will be a six-on-six multiplayer game without the presence of any Titans. The mode is finished after five rounds without any respawns.

Live Fire is won either if one team is able to defeat the other group or if a team takes hold of a neutral flag when the one-minute counter has already stopped. Respawn Entertainment says that this new mode is a “competitive, close quarter combat to the forefront”. They also add that the game is “fast, frantic, and sure to help hone those teamwork and mobility skills”.

Three New Maps

Titanfall 2, in the Live Fire mode, will also get two exclusive maps – one is called Stacks and the other is Meadow. This will be available in the update of the next title. Respawn Entertainment said that “these two maps are tight, enclosed death boxes designed specifically for the fast-paced, intense nature of the mode”. The update will also bring in Columns which is a new Coliseum map.

The new update will also include a new Pilot execution animation. This will also include “multiple new Commander intros for each faction”. All of these updates by Respawn Entertainment will be for free.

Moreover, Respawn Entertainment wants to introduce a fresh game interface in the playlist screen. The studio says that “our goal is to allow players to create their own “mixtapes” and choose which modes they want to be matched in”. The players said that splitting game modes between two screens is not ideal. Respawn Entertainment based this new addition on this players’ feedback.
